There’s too many meetings. too many coffee dates and family obligations, chores to do and errands to run. It happens too often. I blink, and weeks have gone by since I’ve been outside – really outside – and it’s almost as if I’ve forgotten how to breathe. Then, just as suddenly, I find myself amongst the trees again and the scents overwhelm me. I pause. I take them deep into my lungs, savouring the spice of the pine needs and the must of last night’s rain.
Once again, I am reminded where I am from.
